Understanding Pennsylvania’s Legal Limit For Blood Alcohol Content

In the state of Pennsylvania, the legal limit of alcohol consumption is .08% blood alcohol content (BAC). Even if you feel okay driving your car and don’t feel impaired, you still may be charged with driving under the influence based on what your blood alcohol content reads.

The BAC legal limit was changed to .08% from .10% by the Pennsylvania legislature in 2003.

You may also be charged if your BAC is under .08% and the police can demonstrate that you were incapable of safely operating your car after drinking alcohol.
