Former Prosecutors Committed To Protecting Your Rights

Does the 3M Earplugs Lawsuit Affect You?

I served in uniform and we both know that safety was one of our highest priorities. As my first sergeant always said, “mission first, people always.”

The 3M Lawsuit is about a failure of that motto. A failure of the 3M Combat Arms double-ended earplugs from protecting service members from hearing loss and damage. Twenty percent of all veterans who served from 2003-2015 receive disability benefits for hearing loss or damage.

3M Earplugs were supposed to fit securely in the ear and prevent repeated loud noises from causing damage. BUT THEY DIDN’T WORK! 3M Earplugs did not seal correctly inside the ear canal. So while you were out on patrol and being bombarded by loud noises, many 3M earplugs were not protecting our servicemembers’ ears.

Our attorneys have joined the effort to fight back against 3M, and to get the justice our service members have been denied. You might be eligible to join this fight for justice and might be entitled to compensation if you’re a veteran who has suffered hearing loss or damage at the hands of the 3M Earplugs.

They Knew

This egregious situation is made only worse by evidence showing that 3M knew that the earplugs were failures before the public became aware.

These 3M earplugs were sold to the military through 2015.  You might recognize the 3M Earplugs from your time in the military. They were double-tipped, with tips of slightly different sizes.

The Justice Department has already settled for $9.1 Million to resolve the allegations of the defects and the failure to warn the military. 3M didn’t accept liability and no liability determination has been made.

If you served in the U.S. Military and used 3M earplugs on duty, and alter suffered hearing loss or damage, including tinnitus you may be eligible for a claim against 3M. Even if you already receive veteran’s disability payments, the pain and suffering caused by a negligent manufacturer are unrelated to those payments.
